Josh Barnett commented on his status on The Fight Show with Mauro Ranallo:

"My issue is only with California. I can fight anywhere in the world and any state in the Union ... as soon as any promotion out there stops bullshittin' and comes correct, that's all. Now if they want me to fight, all they gotta do is step up to the plate, throw me an opportunity and don't put something in front of me that's a slap in my face or ridiculous. I've talked to [Strikeforce] but I'm not really gonna get too much into that."

Actually it would be sort of nice if Josh would go into the whole Strikeforce negotiaions thing as it  was previously reported that Barnett was in negotiations with Strikeforce.

Would Strikeforce sign Barnett to fight Fedor or would that sink their promotion too?

Josh Barnett was suspended by the CSAC in August of 2009 for testing positive for Drostanolone, an anabolic steroid, prior to Affliction: Trilogy. Barnett still has an appeal pending though it has been delayed three times. 

Josh has been keeping busy during the layoff by competing in grappling tournaments.
