Dana White: 'Mir is a [expletive] idiot!'

Cage Writer has Dana White's reaction to Mir's earlier comments regarding Brock Lesnar.

"Mir is a [expletive] idiot! I have never heard something so unprofessional and idiotic in my life," told Carmichael Dave of KHTK in Sacramento.

Wait a second. Dana White has never heard something so unprofessional?

Now that the cobwebs are cleared let's proceed to what this really means.

White had to denounce Mir's statements due to preexisting negative mainstream media narratives regarding MMA and the current climate of accidental deaths in the general sporting world. On the other hand there are more artful ways to denounce or distance your league/brand from a potentially damning comments. But WKR is splitting hairs unless a mainstream outlet picks up the story--that's a whole other story though.  

In the grand scheme of things this incident is nothing more than a hype generator AS LONG AS in the event of Mir-Lesnar III someone isn't hurt. Then the "fighter said he would kill his opponent before the fight" stories will be everywhere and that will get ugly quickly.
