Damn, kalib’s getting a title match… Man, i guess good or bad plublicity is all good, they should next have kalib and and that brazilian guy who fought Anderson silva for five rounds fight kalib next. That should be an epic battle. Hey WKR, you should give it full coverage and show us the vid.

First Up for Starnes...

Is the main event at AFC 2 in Victoria, BC, March 6… so X-1 better hope he doesn’t get any kind of suspension or else they’re out one headline attraction.

On a side note – not sure why fighters and promotions do this? You know that you’re fighting elsewhere and a suspension is a possibility, so why book yourself / the fighter? Don’t get it…

Money. They ain’t getting UFC sized paychecks or even Strikeforce sized ones. So, they have to make up with quantity.

To quote the great American intellectual Kimbo Slice…“N***a gotta eat!”

Should have re-phrased that… I know why they do it – money, as you said – but the chances of it not happening are there and that then torpedoes the event in my opinion.

X-1 is running Kalib out as an attraction to going to this show when their event is two weeks after AFC 2. A cut or a KO loss and he’s not fighting… and all the people who bought tickets because he was fighting are stuck…

Just seems like a bad business decision to me on all ends…
