Walker stated that he was planning to give his purse to charity. So, did he give his disclosed purse of $600 to charity or his off-the-books purse? Update: Scott Coker told MMA Junkie that Strikeforce made a "six-figure donation to charity."
Strikeforce: Miami's total disclosed payroll was $469,600, total bonus money was $60,000 and total base salary was $409,000.
Nick Diaz made 21.3% of total salary and 24.4% of total base salary. Robbie Lawler also made 21.3% of total salary and 24.4% of total base salary.
Bobby Lashley made 10.6% of total salary and 12.2% of total base salary.
Diaz, Lawler and Lashley combined for 53.2% of total salary and 61% of total base salary.
Jay Hieron, Joe Riggs and Marius Zaromskis all made $30,000 in base salary which equals 6.4% of total base salary per fighter. All told these three made up 19.2% of total base salary.
SBN coverage of Strikeforce: Miami
After the jump WKR continues our new feature where we rank the fighters based upon their perceived value to Strikeforce (based on "to show" money). Followed by our own rankings.
Nick Diaz/Robbie Lawler > Bobby Lashley > Jay Hieron/Marius Zaromskis/Joe Riggs > Wes Sims > Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos > Greg Nag/Melvin Manhoef > Marcos DaMotta > Marloes Coenen/Ryan Keenan > Craig Oxley/David Zitnik/Pablo Alfonso > Hadar Hassan/John Kelly/Michael Byrnes/David Gomez/Joe Ray/John Clarke/ Sabah Homas > Herschel Walker
Obviously there is a lot of undisclosed pay roll on this fight card.
Now this is what WKR believes the ranking should look like.
Nick Diaz/ Robbie Lawler> Bobby Lashley/Herschel Walker > Jay Hieron/Marius Zaromskis/Joe Riggs/Melvin Manhoef > Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos > Marloes Coenen > Wes Sims/Greg Nagy* > Ryan Keenan/Marcos DaMotta > Craig Oxley/David Zitnik/Pablo Alfonso > Hadar Hassan/John Kelly/Michael Byrnes/David Gomez/Joe Ray/John Clarke/ Sabah Homas > Herschel Walker
Lashley and Walker are bigger draws but not better fighters only reason why they are ranked second.

One disagreement
Jay Hieron/Joe Riggs/Melvin Manhoef < Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos
Champs getting snubbed for UFC washouts and kickboxers? Just wrong.
“Champs getting snubbed for UFC washouts and kickboxers?”

Too dismissively harsh?
Guilty as charged. But if the promoter doesn’t treat the female champs as equal, I get irked.
I’ve been a Manhoef fan for years, so it did not come easy, but its the CHAMP here. And its a champ you can build things around because she puts people down with authority – the one thing guys often complain about in WMMA.
