Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Continues Rampage, New York Wins On Road

Yep, he's a bust! Phillipe Nover loses again

Are those sunglasses on because you are pulling an Icarus?

Phillipe Nover was probably destined to disappoint. That's what happens when the president of the UFC anoints you "the second coming of Anderson Silva" prior to your Ultimate Fighter debut. Ever since Dana White issued that infamous proclamation fans were expecting big things from Nover. Sadly, all they have witnessed are three loses in three UFC fights from Phillip.

The latest iteration was an unanimous decision loss to Rob Emerson. Emerson entered the fight with a .500 hundred record and many thought that he was fighting for his UFC life as well.

Before Nover's last fight --a fight that would be called off due to a sudden seizure on the night of the fight-- Phillipe was in a "must win situation." Certainly that status hasn't changed. Even with Nover's position as a TUF runner-up the UFC will be hard pressed to justify keeping him inside the organization over lightweights who can, you know, actually win.
