G'Night Frank! Serra knocks out Trigg

"I earned this round of applause"

Matt Serra got the UFC 109 pay-per view broadcast started out right, with a first round knockout victory over Frank Trigg.

Serra and Trigg began the fight exchanging punches with Matt attempting to get inside the pocket, due to his short stature, before circling out. Two minutes into the fight Serra landed a huge right hook that dropped Trigg. On the floor Serra followed up with two flush punches on his downed opponent before the referee stopped the bout.

Trigg is now 0-2 since rejoining the UFC in September of 2009. Many observers thought that the loser of this fight would be out of the UFC.
