The-ultimate-fighter-11_medium

While the UFC is in North Carolina for UFC Fight Night 21 the promotion will hold an open tryout for MMA fighters who are 21 years old or older with at least three professional bouts.

Details for the tryout are below:

WHEN:
Thursday, April 1, 2010
Registration opens at 8 AM ET; Tryouts at 10 AM ET
Fighters must arrive between 8 and 9 AM ET

WHERE:
Omni Charlotte Hotel
132 E. Trade Street Charlotte, North Carolina
28202 Phone: (704) 377-0400

Cagepotato has a guide for those would be UFC warriors.

Oh yeah, Dana White has one last requirement:

Do not show up for tryouts if you are NOT a real LW [lightweight] or LHW [light heavyweight]. LHW=walk at 225-230 LW=walk at 165-170.

The last thing the UFC needs is another TUF winner to immediately drop down in weight after the finale...

Everytime i watch the american Idol auditions, I cant help but to daydream and hope for the day when there are thousands of fighters trying out for the ultimate fighter show. Where they will travel from city to city looking for the select few,Who knows maybe some day it will be that huge? Until then i will just dream away.

I have heard horror stories about how there are so many people you grapple for 10 secs and they cut you.

that harsh.

you mean like one guy after another. also do you mean between potential contestants grappling or with some assisstants that would teach these guys on the tuf show?

I was thinking so they dont get in trouble for contributing to minors, since they have alchol in the house.Or somewhere along them lines.

Impressive

The walk-around condition is a good one to have. Glad they finally did that.
