Dana White and Bob Arum are BFF's now!

"Wonder Twin powers activate! Take form of hot hair! Take form of whatever this bird is called!

Bob Arum is in the midst of promoting Pacquiao vs. Clottey at Cowboys Stadium (holy crap that big screen is huge. I guess Freud was right...) and the boxing promoter offered his thanks to Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta--wait, what?

Top Rank chief Bob Arum made note of a pair of startling names on the guest list for Saturday's fight card: UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta and the organization's president, Dana White. As Arum said, the two are encouraging UFC fans to buy into the fight's pay-per-view package, an impressive diplomatic move considering Arum once compared UFC fights to gay erotica (as a means of criticism, not praise, mind you). "We want to thank Dana and Lorenzo for crossing sports to help promote this fight," Arum said, as Jones, the guy who helped make that unlikely visit happen, nodded from the dais.

What happened to the good ole days when Bobby-boy would discount the UFC's pay-per view success as bogus and call MMA, gay erotica populated by skin heads? WKR misses those day *nostalgic sigh*.

On a holy speculative note: Does this mean Bob will help out with MMA legislation in New York as Arum is promoting the Miguel Cotto-Yuri Foreman on June 5, which takes place in Yankee stadium? Probably not but it is worth a mention.

You have no idea how close I was to spitting my coffee all over my screen when I read this. Seriously.

I would ABSOLUTLY agree that no one could have seen any good graces coming from Bob in the direction of MMA/UFC. However, I highly doubt he would go as far as to assist his main competition in combat sports move onto his turf. No way.

HAHA

No. I was just adding my two cents.. lol

Although, if I force my brain to actually go there… it would be huge for MMA.

I think this is more a “hey, ppv is down for everyone, lets just quit fucking with each other” kinda move.
