EA Sports MMA's First In-Game Trailer
EA finally released their first in-game trailer for EA Sports MMA and WKR has to admit it looks pretty cool. Then again we get distracted by pretty pixels and animations from time to time.
One thing that we noticed is that the fight animations look extremely accurate for each individual fighter. Randy Chase of EA previously highlighted this when he talked to GameSport earlier this month:
"...we didn't just our fighters by virtue of getting a license. weve actually individually licensed everyone of these fighters and by virtue of doing that we've created one-to-one relationships with these fighters."
Chase goes on to describe how these personal relationships help create a better understanding for the developers to produce a quality product that better reflects each individual fighter rather than just their name, face and class. Then again the gameplay trailer showed Jeff Monson landing a punch and Bobby Lashley knocking out Brett Rogers...

This looks so much better than the original UFC game of last year. The animations don’t look as pre canned, with a punch followed by a sharp head snap back.
This could seriously put the hurt on the new UFC game, although it has the advantage of being released earlier I believe. The brand will power the ufc game enough for it to not be a failure. The bigger test will be the year after this’ game.
