That "Other" NCAA Tournament
Unfiltered MMA tackles the NCAA Division I wrestling tournament and why it is important for Mixed Martial Arts.
This weekend Omaha's Qwest Center will be the focal point of one of America's most passionate fan bases as the NCAA Division One Wrestling Championships will be taking place. This also means that many of MMA fans and even some of the fight games biggest names will have their eyes set solidly on Omaha as well.
Check out the whole article but WKR would like to add one more point. For most amateur wrestlers college was the end of the line. A lucky few ones would go on to the Olympics but there was never much money in international competition. Some would decided to try their hand at professional wrestling. Maggie Hendricks of Cage Writer has her own breakdown pointing out key bouts and wrestlers to watch.
