Strikeforce's Crazy Monday Night
For those that weren't frantically updating WKR or their Twitter account last night you missed an epic news nova regarding Strikeforce's upcoming schedule. Lucky for you WKR is here to provide a recap of the major events.

The Music City Card
Last night the Strikeforce April 17th card in Nashville, Tennessee became official. The card will be broadcast on CBS as previously expected despite the absence of Fedor.
The April card will feature three title fights. Middleweight champ, Jake Shields, will fight Dan Henderson in the main event while light heavyweight champ, Gegard Mousasi, will face off against "King Mo" Lawal. Also, it was reported last night that DREAM lightweight champion, Shinya Aoki will make his U.S. debut against Gilbert Melendez for the Strikeforce lightweight title.
Michael David Smith adds a new sliver of intrigue this morning, as he reports that CBS is really hoping for Herschel Walker to fight on the card.

The Gateway to the West
Strikeforce's rumored May event is for real and will take place on May 15th in St. Louis, Missouri. This will mark the promotion's second trip to the city with the big arch.
Andrei Arlovski will fight Antonio Silva on the May card, as Arlovski announced that he signed a multi-fight 16 month deal with Strikeforce last night.
The other big news from last night was the U.S. return of Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem. Overeem will fight Brett Rogers in a non-title fight on May 15th in St. Louis.
Don't forget about the rumored fight between Frank Shamrock and Pat Miletich that Strikeforce was reportedly considering for a May card plus M-1's statement that Fedor will fight Werdum in May.
One question hasn't been answered: will the May 15th card be on Showtime or CBS?

They really need to have that May show on CBS. Get some momentum going. I hope they do a FightCamp360 for Shields/Hendo to really pump it up.
I'm gonna make a bold prediction here and say Cain "pillowhands" (as some of you have called him) lol Velasquez catches Nog right on the chin and finishes via strikes on the ground. Nog looked good against an old Randy. It didn't show me much. We’ll see.

That would be awesome to see May show on cbs also.
I highy doubt it. Maybe they are trying to get some more subscribers to showtime. I know if i didint have showtime i would surely order it.
The Arpil event is interesting in that it will be a 100% referendum on Dan Henderson’s drawing power since there no other mainstream marketable names on the card. If it does decent numbers it will be a validation of all Hendo’s egotistical rhetoric of the last six months. If it doesn’t draw Kimbo numbers or at least Fedor numbers, it basically means Dan Henderson can’t draw flies to shit without the Zuffa promotional machine behind him and that he flat out wasn’t worth being the highest paid man in MMA, contrary to his insistence that the Dan Henderson brand is, much like the Beatles, bigger than Jesus.
I think that arrogance is going to cost him against Shields, as well. Jake is not a guy to sleep. He has slick submissions, which has always been Hendo’s Achilles heel. I don’t Henderson is taking this fight seriously, especially since his head has inflated 100-fold after The Ultimate Fighter. I’m not sure what the odds will show but I like Jake Shields as an underdog.
