Sakara Ruins Irvin's Return
The Alessio Sakara James Irvin fight was expected to end in the first round, just not like this.
In the middle of the first round Sakara landed a flush punch to the right side of Irvin's face. James immediately retreated and grasped his face like he had been poked in and collapsed against the cage as Alessio charged forward. Referee Josh Rosenthal quickly ended the fight. Or so it appeared as the doctors examined Irvin's eye and it briefly appeared that Rosenthal would rule the punch an eye-poke though replay showed that the punch was legit. In the end Josh made the right call and Sakara won the fight.
For Irvin it was a disappointing return after a two year lay-off where he dealt with injuries and pain killer addiction.
On the flip side Alessio Sakara is now 4-1 since moving to American Top Team and appears to be finding a groove in the middle of the 185lbs. division.

That was a crappy ending.
Would have been better if Irvin fell through the cage door and got disq… wait, that happened once already
