Jon Jones Silences 'The Truth'

It wasn't a very competitive fight and there was some weird shit but Jon Jones did what everyone expected him to do-- beat Brandon Vera.
Jones scored two quick takedowns and while in Vera's guard was hit with an illegal up-kick, which ended up costing Brandon a point. Not that it mattered as once the fight was resumed Jones landed a powerful elbow to Vera's temple. Brandon immediately covered up and the fight was called.
During the post-fight interviews the right side of Vera's face was already beginning to swell up.
The Jon Jones hype train continues.

So glad he won, he’s from where my buddies and I live so when he gave a “607!” shout out we of course marked out like fools…
Where does UFC go with him now? Going by the SB Nation rankings a lot of guys just above him are in fights or injured. Maybe Thiago Silva or face the winner of Tito/Liddell or loser of Griffin/Lil Nog?
