Some thoughts while I recover from my UFC 111 and traveling hangover...
- Apparently
MMAUFC fans really hate that whole grappling and submission thing. Or, the only true metric of a fighter is there willingness to exchange broadsides. - Did anyone else notice that WEC GM Reed Harris was holding the interim heavyweight belt? What was that about? Is he an interim GM....
- I love how Nate Diaz doesn't use a fight poster. Almost as enjoyable as when he starts naming a bunch of Cesar Gracie fighters who are in Strikeforce--awkward!
- Rachelle Leah was back. Hopefully this means we will get "legend" Octagon girl, like the WWE has with certain wrestlers. Come on Logan!
- Dan Hardy was wearing red contact lens in his pre-fight interview with Joe Rogan. Next time he should wear Fremen contacts.
- Kurt Pellegrino's piledriver slam was worthy of Wrestlemania.
- Give Rousimar Palhares a break (no pun intended). In Brazil when you slap someone on the leg while screaming "OH MY F***ING GOD LET GO" translates to "I bet you can't do that harder". Simple mistake that many tourists make. Also, taco means what you think it does...
- Trains in New Jersey have a wide spectrum of musks that appear at random.
- THQ knows how to throw a hell of a party....
- Best part about traveling is the one bastard who screws everything up by not checking a bag and taking ten minutes to try and cram into an overhead compartment before an attendant comes to tell him he's an idiot and needs to check the bag.

I love how people are brushing aside GSP’s submission attempts as if they weren’t efforts to finish the fight.
Yup.
They were just no match for Hardy’s heart & toughness. What an amazing display by both fighters. Sad that people don’t appreciate that.

That response is beyond stupid. He is taking the most extreme scenarios that rarely happen and applying that as an excuse. When your opponent is tapping and screaming in agony, I think thats a fair time to let go. He did not even let go immediately let go when the ref came in. Watch his fight with Helio Dipp and realize this punk has done this before.
Send him back to the Flavelas and maybe paulo Thiago will snipe his ass for his bs actions.
