Great News: Kimbo Slice vs. James Toney WON'T Happen

Did you hear about that rumor that Zuffa would pull Kimbo Slice from his UFC 113 fight against Matt Mitrione and place the youtube star against James Toney?
Thankfully that bit of gossip isn't true as the previously reported Kimbo Slice-Matt Mitrione fight is now official for UFC 113 (can't believe that is good news).
Truth be told, it was always silly to think that the UFC would make this move (unless they really wanted to screw over Strikeforce on CBS, but the lack of mainstream press regarding the Toney signing made that a remote possibility) as it would've effectively announced that Zuffa was done with their Kimbo Slice investment. A strange development as they built an entire season of The Ultimate Fighter around.

i think ufc is bluffing about a fight night card on the 17th
I dont think they have enoiugh fighters to stack a card on such short notice to compete with the strikfroce card.

whatsoever, but I’m almost to the point of praying for Kimbo to be dropped like a bad habit. Nothing against him as a person, but damn I hate overhyped people.

that’s terrible news, I was so wanting to see that fight, I guess I’ll have to settle for something less.
I’m shocked, shocked at all the Kimbo hate. Honestly, how can they put Toney against anyone who would spend any time boxing him? They have to put together a match with someone with at least a grade C ground game.
