Do we need a "Diaz" Rule?

  Photo-712490_medium
(Look, it is Nick Diaz starting a brawl. That has never happened before...)

People are mad about the Strikeforce post-fight melee, which is understandable though it is not like we haven't seen this before in other sports.

Here are two easy fixes to prevent this from happening again that we are calling the "Diaz Rule".

1. Have a limit of how many people can be let into the cage for the post-fighter interview
This is pretty self-explanatory as it would prevent someone from losing their mind and causing more tom-foolery to go down.

2. Have police officers or security guards who are not 50 years old on scene for the aftermath
You know how police officers surround a football coach after the game ends? Probably would be a smart idea to have a couple of uniform police officers on scene. But if you don't want to go the armed enforcer route how about employing security guards who aren't long in the tooth.

That should  probably fix everything. Of course, the really simple fix is just not to let the Diaz's into a post-fight cage. But that would be profiling, which is not cool.

This is on Strikeforce, I think.

In UFC and just about everywhere else only a fighter’s corner, medical staff, TV crew and essential people (promoter, athletic commissioner, ref, interviewer) are in the ring.

Nobody is in control of these shows, so all hell breaks loose all the time. Should Coker be in control, should Kahl? Who knows. I don’t think they even know.

I’m thinking of the Fedor fight and the picture of fucking Millen pumping his first, like on shows like this dudes like that come into the ring. It should be called the Millen Rule.

I hate to say it but you can’t blame this one on the Diaz brothers. Mayhem pulled a dick move and they were just sticking up for their boy.

Dick on Mayhem’s part? Yes.

Did it warrant a curb stomping punchathon from Team Gracie? Nope.

Plus, this is the second time the Diaz’s have been a part of a post fight “melee”

Nick Diaz vs Jason Miller

Needs to happen this fall on CBS!

177, 170 or 185 this fight now needs to happen… But with SF management sleeping at the wheel i do not know if we will ever see this happening!

I think you got it right the second time…haha…just don’t let any of the Diaz’s into the cage post-fight.

Where was miller's posse?

Doesn’t fight out of Hendo’s gym? you would think that Hendo, sokoudjou, K-sos ect.. would be on hand to dish out their own beatdown
