Late last night WKR writer Nick Becker decided to try his hand at a little satire, imagining what the talking head punditry of ESPN would say as a result of the Strikeforce bout.
What Nick didn't tell you is that he is from the future and not like that sappy stupid Eric Bana chick-flick time traveler but Marty McFly time traveler. Basically, he has a hover board.
The gentleman of PTI, Around the Horn and Jim Rome all burned Strikeforce. While their criticisms were ignorant at times, it doesn't excuse what happened on Saturday nor legitimate criticisms of the event.
If the result is that we lose good, or at least hopefully good fights on free network television, then that is a blow to MMA right now.

Around The Horn and PTI have no right talking about MMA in the first place.
The only time they cover MMA is if it’s a negative situation, like Saturday night. Jim Rome is the only credible personality on ESPN in regard to MMA.
