Another Strikeforce-Fedor Update
Remember a few weeks ago when reports began to surface that a deal between Strikeforce and Fedor was near a breakthrough? Yeah, about that...
Loretta Hunt writes an update on the Strikeforce-Fedor renegotiation entitled "M-1 on Fedor's Return: Ball in Strikeforce's Court":
M-1 Global President Vadim Finkelchstein told Sherdog.com on Tuesday that it was Strikeforce who was delaying a renegotiation process between the two promotions that would greenlight the return of the world's No. 1 heavyweight, Fedor Emelianenko, to the Strikeforce cage.
Hunt's report continues with more quotes from Finkelchstein and Strikeforce remaining silent. But the best part of the story was Strikeforce's twitter response after Loretta tweeted a link to her story.
That LOL was the vibe WKR picked up in Nashville that Fedor and Co. would eventually come to terms with Strikeforce and Co. as there is no where else to go and he is still technically under contract.

Did Dana White hijack their twitter account?
It’s good to see Strikeforce say what they really thought of M1’s statement.
Strikeforce just can’t seem to make good decisions though. First this co-promotion with M1, then paying Hendo tons of money, and the next likely step is they either lose their reigning middleweight champ or pay an extortionate amount to keep him even though fans don’t like his style.
Maybewhen they collapse Bellator will pick up their best talent and see what they can do with it. I’ve liked the fights so far and the tournament format of Bellator, they just need better production on the shows.
If/When they collapse
The UFC will sign Diaz, Moussasi, Mo, Rogers, Werdum, Melendez, and Galvao. Fedor I don’t know because m-1 seems to be a bitch to deal with.

After this whole "renegotiating process" has been brought to light
is there any wonder that M-1 is run by a bunch of former Russian mobsters? I mean holy fuck, talk about coercion.
From Sherdog:
"We were renegotiating. I think we’re pretty much at the end of that road," said Kogan. "After the CBS show, we thought that the terms needed a little bit tweaking — nothing major, just a little bit of tweaking.
…
For us, it’s really important that the M-1 Global brand is acknowledged on these co-promotion events. As much as the partners made a lot of effort to acknowledge the co-branding, the media basically picked up on the fact that it was Strikeforce and kind of forgot about everything else, which wasn’t the most ideal for us."
Are you fucking serious? Nobody gives a fuck about your organisation, you brought two fighters to the event, one of which is no longer with you, and you think CBS should highlight that it is YOUR show, no matter how infinitesimally small contribution you have actually made?
These are just two quotes I pulled from the Sherdog article, there are a lot more that I remember reading when they first came out. They’re not happy with how much they were compensated for that first CBS event, they want more of their fighters (who nobody gives a shit about ‘cause nobody knows) on SF’s cards… It’s just nonsense. Bad business sense. If Coker has half a brain he will sever all ties as soon as possible. M-1 is a leech and they’re slowly sucking SF dry.
