Ratings War!
Sherdog provides the ratings for Strikeforce: Nashville including the run over.
Average viewers: 2.9 million
HH: 1.8
M18-34: 1.3
M18-49: 1.5
Again, according to Sherdog the UFC 110 replay ratings were
Average viewers: 1.4 million
HH: 0.9
M18-34: 1.1
M18-49: 1.2
While the two products, and channels they were on, aren't really comparable people will do it anyways. The more apt comparison is to look at each products history. For Strikeforce that means comparing the ratings to past CBS MMA events (their second to last) while also comparing it to CBS Saturday night programming.
For the UFC, it means comparing this replay show to their other replay/counter events:
UFC 94 Replay - 1.9 million viewers (countered Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Diaz)
UFC 100 partial Replay - 2 million viewers (countered Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg)
UFC "Main Events" - 1.2 million viewers (countered Strikeforce on CBS)
UFC 107 Replay - 2.2 million viewers (countered Strikeforce: Miami)
The UFC beat their baseline but came in well below their other replays.
Dave Meltzer provides some insight into how CBS is approaching the ratings:
Now the rating, you know, again, the rating was more important thing than the brawl and the rating wasn’t good, but it’s also the learning thing in the sense that we know that with the right match, we can do a good demo play with MMA. We also now know for sure that with you know that Dan Henderson is not the right and Jake Shields was not the right match and that unless we have the right match, you really don’t want to do this show. You can’t just do the show and go like, ‘We got this card with all these guys that are like ranked and this and that or this match is you look on paper and go on paper we got a good show so we’ll have exciting fights and people will tune in.’ It’s not that. There’s no, all you got is star power and the problem of course with Strikeforce is there’s not a lot of that star power there.
For the record, the EliteXC Stockton, California show drew 2.62 million viewers.
This is all about getting younger ratings for CBS and as long as they can go to their advertisers and say "young people are watching this" they will be able to sell ad space. They just need the right fights for it to work and CBS has an ace in the hole -- Fedor (despite the contract issues the people at CBS expect him back...sometime..)
Dave Meltzer also thinks a third show is coming. While the brawl was bad news it was quickly forgotten by the mainstream in the hyper media cycle.
There are signs that are positive that they’ll probably do another show in the fall. You know one of the things that you know was brought up to me was that you know realistically in another day or two, no one’s going to talk about that brawl again and certainly by Saturday you know it’ll be a dead subject.
Wait? There was a fight on Saturday night? That's where Ben Roethlisberger was traded after he went into a bathroom at Radio City Music Hall, right?

Honeslty in hindsight I would have rather watched the 110 replay than the Lawal/Mousasi fight
the other two fights were entertaining though
