"Mayhem's" mayhem suspension worthy?
Strikeforce was planning to have Jason "Mayhem" Miller fight Robbie Lawler in L.A. Instead Strikeforce has moved the now available Renato "Babalu" Sobral in to fight Lawler at a 195lbs. catch-weight.
I guess we know what that means -- SUSPENSIONS!
"Miller isn't fighting because we believe, in speaking with the Tennessee Athletic Commission, that he will put under some type of suspension," Coker told Sherdog.com on Thursday. "After reviewing the tape (of the April 17 incident), we felt that Miller shouldn't headline our next event. We will honor the Tennessee commission's decision when it's announced."
What say ye? Fair or foul?

Here’s the thing: if it hadn’t turned into a shitshow, some people might be saying he was kind of a dick for interrupting Shields’ interview, but ultimately Coker (and everyone else) would be happy that he was working to build hype for a rematch. And really, that’s ALL he did wrong, was interrupt an interview. The whole Cesar Gracie crew that gang-jumped him are the ones who started the “brawl”, and I don’t see how anyone could think that they don’t bear the majority of the blame for what happened. And for that matter, it wasn’t a brawl, it was an assault.
Think of it this way: imagine if this had happened on the street or at a bar, some guy interrupts a conversation and for nothing more than that he gets jumped and beat on by at least four people. When the cops show up, what’s the end result? The guys that jumped him get arrested and charged with assault. Being a dick isn’t a crime, but attacking and beating on someone is.
All I can say is that the Tennessee athletic commission better punish the Gracie gang in some way. But it’s complete bullshit that Strikeforce is apparently punishing ONLY Miller for what happened. And why? Because the other 3 of the 4 other guys involved are the champs (and the forth doesn’t work for Strikeforce), which apparently gets you a free pass.
Was Mayhem cornering Hendo? I thought he was. Wouldn’t he have a right to be in the ring post fight? And why wouldn’t the Cesar Gracie camp not get punished?

I heard that after, but do not think it was true (not sure though). Easily could be wrong.

If he was cornering Hendo then it’s more him just getting into the camera shot to ask for a title shot.
