Mixed feelings

I havent decided on my feelings for this ppv. I am definitely going to order it but Im not that excited about the rematch. The first bout was pretty good but not that entertaining in the long run. I hope they both come out with different game plans. Two fighters with a defensive strategy don’t make things exciting.
I would have to say I am most looking forward to see Kimbo Slice on this card. This is a good fight for him. He just took out Houston Alexander, who had a terrible game plan. Matt Mitrione might give him a problem becuase his right hand has been on fire lately. I think it is fair to say that this fight won’t be on the ground that much.

My father wrote about this in his book. Chapter 1... Page 1... Paragraph 1: What is the answer to 99 out of 100 questions?... Money

It could just be that I'm a huge Shogun fan

but the fight was a complete validation for me being that I had read for 3 months how Shogun would get KTFO in rd 1 on Sherdog, and that by itself made it all the more exciting the longer it went on. When I was watching it I felt like Shogun won 1, 3, 4 & 5, but I can see the case for Machida in 1 & 2.

I can’t wait for this rematch, I was talking to a friend about this fight the other day and the way I feel is Shogun will win by TKO before it goes to the championships rounds. Machida’s shotokan stance has been developed through a lifetime of training, he isn’t going to abandon it now. He can modify it, but he will be sacrificing his head to protect his legs. Shogun has also hinted at taking Lyoto down, which I think he is more than capable of doing.

Take my opinion as an unabashed Shogun nuthugger with a grain of salt, but I feel like there is little to no chance of Shogun losing, it will be a bloodbath, and Machida’s aura will be no more in less than another week.

Word

I’ve been watching Machida since his fight with BJ Penn, and have always been a big fan and told everyone who would listen about his techniques. I’ve said over and over again that he won’t be stopped. When he KTFO Silva, everyone started to pay attention. When he raped Evans, everyone jumped right on the bandwagon and agreed, he was unstoppable! Cuz ya know, even though I knew he wasn’t unstoppable…i may have said that once or twice :-) A fans a fan.

So now everyone and their momma, people who don’t know any more MMA names than the BJ’s, Lesnar’s, Silva’s all knew and loved Machida and showed up for his first title defense!

And there I was, the guy who got them to the Machida side, to regretfully tell them before the fight that I bet 20 bucks on Shogun. I know my Shogun. I love my Shogun. And he’s the god damn Anti-Machida. Quite possibly, Shogun could be THE worst match-up in the world for Machida.

I’m hoping for a Shogun epic war decision, followed by the complete gutting out of the 205 division by both men before an epic 3rd fight in Brazil

im more stoked...

for Daley v. Fraggle! Its not going the distance. No no way in hell.

And Stout v. Stevenson will be a stand up war for sure. Stouts quick, crisp combos vs. the sheer force and power of stevensons blows. funfun

And be sold on the rematch. These two are gonna whoop some more ass after this fight no matter who wins
