In Women's MMA News...
As we stated earlier this week the Roxy-LaRosa fight is probably the best fight of the weekend (sorry Matt Lindland!) but there is other news in the realm of women's MMA.
Bellator officially announced their Season 3 115lbs. women's tournament, plus they signed Rosi Sexton (10-1). Sexton normally fights at 125lbs. but will make the drop to 115. Bellator already locked up Megumi Fujii (19-0) to compete in the tournament and Fujii will make her debut on June 10th.

kinda… Sexton is going to be cutting to 115lbs. Fujii is indeed super talented… but she faces the age old kryptonite of Japanese mixed martial artists when going to America- weight cutting. The competition is going to be bigger than anything she’s ever faced. The fact that shes a ground gorilla beast… that can play a HUGE roll in this. It makes it interesting. hope they put fujii and Sexton on opposite sides of the bracket,
Only 2/8 women have been announced. At 115lbs… LaRosa might be able to make that man. that would be amazing. Modafferi is signed to Strikefarce and no way shed make 115 anywho. but there are other women out there I think could make 115 and put on a good show. I’m stoked. Bellator truely does do this MMa thing properly, and they build their stars extremely well (already building up the bantamweight mens tourney as we speak) I’m stoked.
Even a broken clock is right two times a day.
Uh... Strikeforce...
While you were stumbling around trying to catch ufc, bellator quickly passed you up as the number 2 promotion. Bellator already has a womens tournament in the works and all you have done is mention it months ago.
