Wanderlei Silva has a six-year plan

Wanderlei-retirement_medium
(Now that I think about it, Wanderlei would've made a great Incredible Crash Dummy toy...)

Wanderlei Silva told Tatame that he would to keep getting beat up fighting until he's 40:

I want to fight over six years, at least until I hit forty. This change of class was good, I had to re-educate myself on the food and I'm feeling pretty good about it,

We love Wandy as much as the next Neanderthal studying biologist but unfortunately Silva is already 69 in Brazilian years (hehe, sixty-nine). So, he might want to cash out on that pension. Wait, there isn't an UFC fighter retirement plan? Oh... Well, that makes sense then.

I'm a big WANDY fan, but yeah, I don't really see him fighting for six more years...

well not in the UFC at least. However, he’s a big draw and he wins perhaps, regardless always a WANDY! fan.

He continues to delay his accounting career.

If the UFC sets him up with a fight every 6 months...

and gives him mid tier guys and keeps him the fuck away from beasts like A. Silva, Marquardt, Maia, Sonnen, etc he could have a good long career ahead of him.

They just need to find him mid tier guys coming off great wins (ala Bisping) or overhyped guys (ala Akiyama) or brawlers like not on his level (Quarry, Rivera, Leben) and they could easily prolong this thing for a good number of years….

Buuuut, if they progress him- say he wins Akiyama and then gets a tougher dudes…I dunno man…

I have this nagging feeling that if he beats Akiyama they are going to give him Alan Belcher
