Dana White sees the benefit in B.A. Baracus
Strange how a few months of perspective can completely prove someone wrong.
Dana White's verbal whiplash against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson for choosing the A-Team over UFC 107 was all the rage and fans certainly joined in. But many observers pointed out that the Jackson-Evans fight wasn't DOA and that Quinton's involvement in a potential blockbuster could be an indirect boon for the UFC.
Besides, Evans-Jackson is a marquee match for the huge PR push that Zuffa and THQ are both undertaking right now (White is the epicenter of both fronts).
Now Dana has seen the light:
"I get guys all the time -- because the UFC is getting so big - doing movies, but they're usually movies that go straight to DVD, and you wouldn't even want to watch them on DVD, but Rampage made the right decision. The A-Team is the big summer hit this year, and from what I'm hearing from the guys in Hollywood, Rampage [nailed] it. He did an awesome job. Everything worked out. He and I made up, and the fight is still happening. It's definitely not a bad thing, but I don't know how many people will actually be going to see The A-Team movie knowing that Rampage Jackson is a UFC fighter. I don't know. We'll have to see how it works out."
And common sense prevails though it certainly helps that the A-Team is running ads on UFC programing. In the words of Joe Pesci in Casino, "it's all about the dollars". Granted he was beaten to death with baseball bats after that but you get the idea.

I'm Buck Melanoma. Moley Russell's wart. Not her wart. Not her wart! I'm... I'm the wart. She's my tumor. My... my growth. My... uh, my pimple. I'm Uncle Wart. Just old Buck "Wart" Russell. That's what they call me, or Melanoma Head. - Uncle Buck

probably not, there have been a few other guys who did small roles in bad movies. Cung Lee (Tekken, Fighting, Pandorum), Roger Huerta (Tekken) & Rich Franklin (Cyborg Soldier) also have ventured into acting with less than stellar results. Couture actually has had a sliver of success compared to the others.
Don't think so
I think it’s more of a burn on Heath herring who semi-retired from MMA to do bad movies. Rampage has been in a few stinkers before too. Don’t forget Arlovski in Universal Soldier: Regeneration.

tons...
Rampage was in some fight movie, GSP was in some fight movie, Forrest and Mac Danzig did some movie as cops, Rampage again did some horror movie…. There’s toooons. If i got on google I could probably list 10 movies with current UFC fighters in them, none of which any of us could bare to watch.
Couture actually has a major role comin up, which is opening early august called the Expendables. They are already writing a part II as well. I’m not 100% sure what its about, some gangster from the 20s or sumtin I think. But it’s going to be a major blockbuster release as well
Even a broken clock is right two times a day.
