Rashad Evans wins a convincing decision against Rampage Jackson at UFC 114
Rashad Evans took advantage of a slow and out of shape Quinton "Rampage" Jackson to win an unanimous decision victory at UFC 114.
After the first bell Evans landed a flush punch that rocked Jackson. From there Evans mixed up his attacks keeping Quinton off balance, building a two round lead over his rival TUF 10 coach. Rashad did a good job of using his strikes to set up takedowns and like a basketball team he used every second of the shot clock to wear down his opponent.
But just like the NBA every team has a run in them and Rampage almost turned his run into a TKO victory. Jackson trapped Evans along the cage and the former Michigan State wrestler went for a double leg but was caught with a right hand. Rampage tried to finish Evans off but couldn't and Rashad was able to recover and even win the round on two judges score cards thanks to some timely takedowns to close out the fight.
Overall, Evans looked to be the same fighter as he was at UFC 108: a nice mix of strikes and wrestling with the potential of being knocked out. For Rampage the future is far murkier as he clearly wasn't in peek condition for the fight and questions will undoubtedly begin regarding his commitment to fighting.

Peek condition?
Did Rampage look through his fingers while counting? Or the ole peek-a-boo middle of the hands routine while Rashad was running off to hide??

So this was the most dangerous Rampage ever?
And couldn’t put away Rashad “Glass Jaw” Evans. I was also led to believe that Jackson had the better wrestling too.
Maybe all that acting Rampage learned in his time off payed off? He sure was able to convince alot of people he was going to run through Evans.
he always says that shit
Said it the first two Silva fights. Said it before Griffin.
For once, I’d like a fighter to come into a fight goin “I dunno man… this training camp was really bad. I feel off, and my Gameplan seems week. Im just gonna leave it in to the 5 oz gloves to help me out here”
Even a broken clock is right two times a day.
