Karo in talks with Strikeforce?

2gxl9c7_jpg_medium

(Do you know who I am? No, seriously. Please tell me you know who I am...)

MMA Fighting is reporting that Karo Parisyan is in talks with Strikeforce.

WKR is torn on Karo. First, it would be great to see him get back his life back together (weird that getting your life in order involves fighting someone in a cage bu whatever) and fighting for Strikeforce would help. Parisyan could be an opponent  for Nick Diaz or...well....he could fight Nick Diaz.

At the same time WKR sort of wishes that the UFC would have worked things out with Karo. Why? It's because of that other Diaz brother -- Nate.

Nate recently jumped up to welterweight to fight Rory Markham and 170lbs. just happens to be the weight class Parisyan fights in. WKR can't be the only ones who remember the memorable smack talk between Karo and Nate on the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter. Now that would be a grudge match wort watching. If only we could remember that Armenian guy's name...

Is it just me or does strikeforces roster seem thinner than ever before?

Only if Karo gets his stuff together.

He isnt on a big losing streak, so that is a good thing. He is 7-2-1 his last 10 fights. But, the painkiller addiction and back problems have prevented him from title contention in the UFC. So, it would be a safe assumption Karo is on the down side of his career and potentially damaged goods. Strikeforce doesnt have the time, resources or rooster depth to bring Karo along slowly, which is the preferred method in my eyes. But, the Strikeforce Motto has been to bring in anyone with the Former UFC attached to their resume. This would have been a coup 3 years ago, now, it’s just risky business. Good luck Karo, hope you get your life together.

If Russia attacked Turkey from the rear, Do you think Greece would help?

I love the Karo/Diego fight up until the bullshit decision, the arrogance of Sanchez to talk about judo being crap then watching Karo throw him around like a ragdoll was beautifull.

Diego won that fight as convincingly as Machida beat Shogun in theirs meaning not at all.

Didn’y he get a tooth knocked out, epic poster style? That’s what I remember him for, that and acting like a d-bag in the locker room on Ultmate Fighter a few seasons back.

In a sport that features some serious douch bags, Karo stands out as one of the biggest douches ever. On TUF, he started yapping at Nate and Nate told Karo to STFU and Karo acted like a 5 year old. Serious douch move. Karo acted like he was blessing the entire cast and show for being there.
