Enjoy Bellator with a nice "El Matador" Cocktail
For the first time this season WKR will finally get to see a Bellator event live on FSN. In honor of Roger Huerta we will be drinking El Matador's tonight.
But Zak, what's an El Matador?
I'm glad you asked! Take it away Fight Drinker:
Fightdrinker shares the hometown of Austin TX with El Matador, and even occasionally drinks in the same bars, although we've never met the tiny tough guy. In his honor, however, we present our latest creation "El Matador"
Tequila reposado with beef blood*, served dressed with lime and a salted rim.
* Use the liquid you find in a tray of hamburger or steak, or if you're a vegetarian, or just drinking somewhere where they don't keep beef blood at the bar, or are just generally too wussy to go for raw meat in your drink, you might try subbing Torres Wineries Sangre de Toro instead.
Live results (and possible vomit) after the jump.
- Champ Eddie Alvarez def. Josh Neer via submission (rear-naked choke) - Round 2. (non-title fight)
- Pat Curran def. Roger Huerta via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). Curran advances to the lightweight final.
- Toby Imada def. Carey Vanier via submission (armbar) - Round 2, 3:33. Imada advances to the lightweight finals.
- Pat Bennett vs. Cole Konrad def. Pat Bennett via unanimous decision (30-26, 29-28, 30-27).
-
Josh LaBerge def. Dan Bonnell via TKO (punches) - Round 1, 0:48.
