Shogun has the knees of an old woman

A friend told me once that the human knee was proof that god didn't exist because no deity would ever design something that is so horribly designed.But that friend would have probably concede that the devil exists after hearing about  Mauricio "Shogun" Rua's latest knee surgery (for those keeping tally that's three knee surgeries in three years).

Late yesterday, Dana White confirmed that Rua underwent knee surgery in L.A. and a title defense against Rashad Evans is on hold for the moment (interim match between Machida and Evans?).

Obviously this is bad news but there is something else that is extremely frustrating about the reported knee surgery: we don't know which knee was operated on or what the operation was for. Was it simply to clean out the knee or, god forbid, was this another ACL tear (seriously, someone get on the horn with Dejaun Blair and figure out how in the hell he walks with no ACL's so we can watch Shogun fight).
