Hoosiers + UFC = Uncomfortable Stares and UFC 119
MMA Junkie is reporting that Indiana is set to host UFC 119 in September.
No word on a potential main event and there's no real likely candidates. But we do know that Matt Mitrione will fight Joey Beltran. It's probably safe to assume that local firefighter, Chris Lytle, will end up on the card despite the fact that he's fighting at UFC 116 in July.
Our random/wild guess on a main event? Nogueira vs. Mir II with Jake Shields making his debut as the co-main event. That or the Chuck Liddell retirement tour part 4.5 as the main event...

I thought it was going to be a combo of Forrest/Machida/Rampage. I'm going regardless.
I know Machida stated that he would fight against Forrest at 119 . Then, Dana said he wanted Machida to fight Rampage.
I’m hearing rumblings of a Shields debut at 120 with Dan Hardy as an opponent.

Exactly, except ...
… this time the subs will succeed since they’ll be applied form the proper positions.

without the sub attempts?
Are you kidding me man? Shields subbed 1 of his last 3 opponents, all in the weight class above him.
Before being forced to move to guys much larger than him, he FINISHED his last SEVEN opponents at his own weight class.
how many guys have finished 8 out of their last 10 opponents, even all at their optimum weight class? Let’s not go having the memory of a gold fish here.
Shields is by far a much much more dangerous guy on the ground than GSP. I’d argue it is tough to keep off your back against GSP though, as he mixes striking with wrestling so well, while everyone knows Jake doesn’t want to punch you. Unless youre on your back of course, then he will throw some nasty man slaps to the face
Even a broken clock is right two times a day.
No Forrest at UFC 119
He won’t be back in action until Nov/Dec. shoulder injury from copious UFC Undisputed playing/jacking off
Even a broken clock is right two times a day.
