Grove vs. Reljic demoted due to Kendall's Comments on TUF

MMA Junkie reports that Grove vs. Reljic got the Spike TV boot due to Kendall Grove making disparaging remarks about The Ultimate Fighter reality show:
The source said Grove prompted the change after the fighter openly criticized the UFC's longtime cable partner and their involvement in "The Ultimate Fighter."
Here we were thinking that Spike just like Seth Petruzelli and his Twilight costumes more than Grove. So, what did Kendall say that earned the wrath of Spike? Middle Easy transcribed Grove's comments:
"Spike TV pretty much runs everything on The Ultimate Fighter. They could be sub-leasing the UFC name, but I'm sure Dana and the UFC are getting a nice little pay check from Spike but other than that, Spike runs the thing. Dana doesn't choose who's going to be on the show, it's Spike executives. Even when I was on there in the earlier seasons, they were picking a couple guys with funny personalities. I'm pretty sure I got on there not because of my good looks, but because I had a pretty good personality. Everything is ratings to these guys. Just like that season where they shot [expletive] inside the fruit...people do that stuff. Why? Because of ratings. Is it a health violation? Yeah, but did you see the Spike TV people stop that from happening? It sells ratings and that's all they care about. They could give two [expletives] about our career. They just care about the six-weeks that they're shooting and get as much drama and stupidity out of us. That's all we are to them is cattle and sheep. They way they run things, they're slowly controlling us to be like that."
The lesson to be learned in all this is never speak the truth because you will get demoted or flamed by a Zuffa lurker.
If we could be serious for a second, it seems pretty clear that this move from Spike is a mistake. If anything it brings further attention to Grove's comments, which weren't exactly burning down the MMA-verse to begin with. Besides, it is not like they were going to sneak this past anyone.
On the other hand they might just to highlight Seth Petruzelli and his Kimbo beating, homoerotic behavior.

Hard to argue with some of Kendall’s points but goddamn they are grown men. Spike TV shouldn’t have to tell them not to jizz inside a piece of fruit for gods sake.
Grove is a product of TUF and Spike him running his mouth is basically him being one loss away from not having a job shup up and worry about winning fights.
