Shocking Upset in San Jose! Fedor submitted in 69 seconds
No one gave Fabricio Werdum much of a chance against Fedor Emelianenko and in the first few seconds of the fight it looked like the conventional wisdom was correct. Fedor knocked Werdum down and pounced to finish his opponent. But Fabricio wasn't dead in the water as he grabbed Emelianenko's arm and secured a triangle choke in addition to an armbar. Fedor flailed for a few moments in an attempt to escape but eventually yielded just sixty nine seconds into the fight.
