Fedor: And that's the end of that chapter

Where's Keanu Reeves when you need him because I think the MMA-verse just had it's collective mind blown.

The idea of Fedor losing, let alone to Fabricio Werdum, seemed so inconceivable that you would have had a better chance of seeing George W. Bush acting as the minister at a legal gay wedding. Simply inconceivable.

Now comes the process of sifting through the wreckage and seeing what the future holds for Strikeforce, Showtime, M-1 and the fighters signed to the promotion.

If you can't wrap your mind around the inconceivable knockout (you keep saying that word, I do not think it means what you think it means) then perhaps a visual summary is will help you come to terms with the upset.

Update: Just to clarify. This is not to say "the book is closed on Fedor". Rather, one chapter, a very long and good chapter, is over. And we have no idea what is coming next.

fedor's management couldn't avoid fighting the #8 guy, they had to roll the dice

and fedor got shown for what he really is. a good HW fighter, but without smoke and mirrors…. just not as impressive as his legacy would bill him to be

I'm old school hating Lesnar, I've been hating Lesnar since '08

I'm going to start being the BE or KidNate of commenters, I'm just going to copy and paste your comments and say "I agree & Dana White sucks!"

I disagree completely. Fedor was the man. The best heavyweight in the world no question about it. This is a guy who beat Nogueira on the ground and beat a prime Mirko Cro Cop at his own game. Yes, he took some easy fights in the last few years, but he also stopped Arlovski and Sylvia in less than a round. No smoke and mirrors, he was the best HW fighter ever. He made a mistake last night, it happens and it should take nothing from his legacy.

fedor is still the best heavyweight of all time

But I don’t think he’s the best heavyweight at this particular time. I didn’t think that last week, nor do I think that this week.
