(Hey, it's Forrest Griffin and Gray Maynard here to coach these kids up!)
With less than six days of filming on TUF 11 the powers to be removed Tito Ortiz and brought Rich Franklin in for Ortiz and his coaching staff. Thanks to the spoileriffic previews Spike has been putting out (strange how Spike and Zuffa are totally cool with spoiling the show on their terms but any media reporting needs to be squashed with lies?) we see that Gray Maynard and Forrest Griffin will join Franklin as coaches.
So how did Rich convince these two fighters to join him for five days on TUF? Well, he didn't. Per MMA Scraps:
One thing I did find interesting with my interview with Rich, he had no idea who his assistant coaches were going to be.
Gray Maynard and Forrest Griffin both train in Vegas so its not hard to envision a call from Zuffa asking for them to make PR appearances coach on the season.
