UFC 114 and UFC 113 pay-per view buy rates
The buzz around UFC 114 was pretty tremendous what with an entire season of TUF, a new videogame, a Fan Expo, Memorial Weekend and Rampage's crossover with the A-Team and boy did UFC 114 deliver with a BIG buy rate.
Dave Meltzer reports the early estimates around 925,000 buys, which would make the show the fourth most bought pay-per view in UFC history (behind 100, 66 and 92).
Also, for whatever reason, we forgot to post UFC 113's buy rate (blame Canada), which Meltzer estimated at 520,000.
Time to celebrate with a champagne Xiyence shower!

Yeah, I thinks it’s 100, 66, and 92. Although, estimates sometimes vary. I’ve seen buyrates for UFC 101 and UFC 91 that were higher too. So, realistically, it could rank anywhere from 4 to 6 which is still outstanding, especially for a card without title fights that was built around one fight since the undercard was a lot of up and coming lesser known fighters looking to knock off big names. This was great success for the UFC.
You know who’s going to benefit from this? Guys like Hathaway, Brilz and Russow who not only put in career defining performance but now it turns out that they did so in front of a massive audience who will now never forget their names.
very true
I’m not so sure about Russow though… I mean, sure great KO but he got his ass handed to him in an odd colored hat.
Hathaway and Brilz… oooh yah. oooooooh yaaaaah

Even a broken clock is right two times a day.
