Brock Lesnar Makes it Rain, PPV Buys That Is

Make-it-rain_medium

The first bit of initial reporting on UFC 116's pay-per view numbers comes in courtesy of Dave Meltzer:

The latest numbers for UFC 116 seem to be reporting higher. As we figured, there appear to have been a ton of replay order buys based on all the talk about the show, including all the mainstream news show coverage after the event. Various cable estimates have ranged from 1 million to 1.28 million, and as noted, internally it is being said it's the third biggest in history, which would be a lot closer to the former number than the latter number.

Not much to really analyze. We knew Lesnar was the biggest draw, we knew he captures the attention of the mainstream media and we know that the professional wrestling fanbase tunes into his fights as well.

What we didn't know is that he hangs out with 'Lil Wayne. Thank you Adobe...

the UFC really needs to push hard to get lesnar’s next fight to top this. with velasquez they have an opportunity to tap into the mexican market, but i think they’re going to have a hard time convincing people that someone smaller than carwin stands a chance.

I'm old school hating Lesnar, I've been hating Lesnar since '08

I'm going to start being the BE or KidNate of commenters, I'm just going to copy and paste your comments and say "I agree & Dana White sucks!"

A bet's a bet:
"The #1 Heavy Weight of the World Brock Lesnar!" – "All aboard The Pain Train Chug a Chug a Choo Choo!"

they just have to show velasquez brutally knocking out noguiera about 10 times on the

spike shows that will promote this fight.

I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. Glory favors the bold. Chance favors the prepared mind. Luck, well i have that too. University of Utah goes to the Pac-12 conference in 2011. I expect them to compete immediately for the conference CG. I still will always follow the Mountain West Conference. Brock Lesnar will defeat Cain Velasquez and face the winner of Junior Dos Santos vs Roy Nelson where he will defeat JDS and stake his claim as pound for pound champion. Womens MMA, the next big thing in sports. 45 days and counting to the first game of college football. UTAH vs Pitt. September 2nd 2010.

People do not like to think. If one thinks, one must reach conclusions. Conclusions are not always pleasant.

I can’t wait to read the paper on Clowny Elbow.
“UFC 116 DOES BETTER THAN EXPECTED – UFC 117 DOOMED ALREADY”

Go go guys !

Well, anybody who knows me knows I'm no fan of dictionaries or reference books. They're elitist. Constantly telling us what is or isn't true. Or what did or didn't happen.
