Lyoto Machida's Dad Wants his Son to Retire
(Apparently seeing your kid with a broken face makes you rethink what you want for his career. Who knew?)
Lyoto Machida's dad made waves yesterday when he told Sherdog.com that he wants Machida to call it career.
"I already said that he better not fight anymore, but I didn't say it to him. I have expressed this desire just to my wife and his brothers. He doesn't want [to retire] and says he still has many challenges. According to him 35 is a good age to stop. I think that up to 35 is still possible but after that it starts getting tricky."
Y'know what? He sort of has a point about that "after 35 it's hard to retire thing". Just ask Chuck Liddell that.

his dad only liked watching his son fight when he didn’t get hurt. now he’s just being a concerned parent, it’s understandable.
I'm old school hating Lesnar, I've been hating Lesnar since '08
I'm going to start being the BE or KidNate of commenters, I'm just going to copy and paste your comments and say "I agree & Dana White sucks!"
A bet's a bet:
"The #1 Heavy Weight of the World Brock Lesnar!" – "All aboard The Pain Train Chug a Chug a Choo Choo!"
Yoshiro has always trained his kids in the samurai way- if you get caught you’re dead (cuz samurai’s play with swords) so its understandable. He’s old school.
Glad lyoto pulls a cartman “its my sexy body I do what I want”
Even a broken clock is right two times a day.

he probably doesn’t want the lyoto karate being tarnished by his losses especially now that it still has some weight.
