Big Nog vs. Mir rematch set for UFC 119 main event, Lil' Nog vs. Bader for co-main event

via www.mmaweekly.com

From my article over at SBN MMA

Mike Chiappetta is reporting that UFC 119 finally has a co and main event. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will get his rematch with Frank Mir in the main event of UFC 119 while his twin brother, Rogerio, will face Ryan Bader in the co-main event.

Rodrigo is coming off a surprising KO loss to Cain Velasquez back in February while Mir looks to rebound off a similarly brutal knockout at the hands of Shane Carwin at UFC 116 in July. The two fought previously at UFC 92 for the interim heavyweight championship, with Mir taking a second round TKO victory. This was also the first time Nogueira had ever been stopped in thirty-seven professional fights.

What WKR wants to know is how many people are going to be confused when Rodrigo Nogueira comes out to fight twice.

Fan in Tapout Shirt with sideways hat: "Wait a second? Didn't that dude just fight? Oh my GAWD! What a Bad ass! That dude is Baller!!! He even has a big scar on his back now..."

Can't wait till...

A) They keep bringing up how Nog shouldn’t of been fighting @ 92

B) Nog beats Murrr

yaaaay!

Mir v. Nog II is a goodie. Should be much more competitive without the staph shenanigans.

I still don’t see nog taking this though. He’s been slowing down for sure.

Nogs gonna get TKo'd again staph or no.

I get it that Nog wants the rematch and Frank has no one else to fight but this is not a good match for Nog.

Hopefully the fight shows us if Nog’s chin is shot. If it shows Nog’s chin is shot, people might need to start reevaluating Velasquez’ KO power.

I may be in the minority

but I don’t care for this rematch. At all.

If this fight had been booked after Mir beat Kongo and Rodrigo beat Couture than hell yeah, but now with both fighters coming off TKO’s it really just doesn’t interest me.

Personally I would much prefer Rodrigo vs CroCop II at this point in time.
