Matt Wiman out with a broken arm, Charles Oliveira now fighting Efrain Escudero at UFC Fight Night 22

This is not good news for Efrain

via SB Nation-

The game of musical chairs keeps going as MMA Weekly has reported that Matt Wiman has been pulled from the upcoming Sept. 15 UFC Fight Night 22 in Austin, TX due to a broken arm. Wiman was originally preparing for his rematch with Mac Danzig, who was also recently sidelined due to a pectoral injury. Efrain Escudero was pulled from his fight on the same card with John 'Quick Guns' Gunderson to take on Wiman, but with Wimam going down will now take on the deservedly hyped UFC newcomer Charles Oliveira.

One of the most exciting young prospects in the UFC's lightweight division, Oliveira recently made his UFC debut with a 41 second triangle to armbar submission over Darren Elkins at 'UFC on Versus 2' earlier this month. Undefeated at 13-0, the Brazilian got his 12th stoppage victory of his young career and took home 'Submission of the Night' honors for his troubles. Although some visa issues were looking to be a hindrance in making this fight happen, everything seems to be good to go.

This is a nightmare of a matchup for Escudero. I thought Wiman would be a handful on the ground, but Oliveira is a totally different monster. Oliveira will want to get this thing to the ground immediately, so unless Escudero can utilize his wrestling to try to keep it standing I don't think he has much of a chance. Efrain has shown some major holes in his ground game, so I hope for his sake he's been working his mount escapes.

check out some of the ground game I'm talking about

Holy Shit!

This is much much better than wiman v. danzig!

Efrain may be able to keep it standing. Theres no way he can hang top or bottom with Oliviera so I’m sure he’ll try to make it a kickboxing match

Even a broken clock is right two times a day.

UFC needs a Brazilian ring girl.

Seriously, though, this kid looks like he could be trouble for the LW division. He’s 6’1" and w/ a ground game like that holy shit.

Hadoken!!

right NOW

He’s probably going to get outboxed by the wrasslers. But man- imagine this kid in 5 years when his wrestling/striking catch up to that ground acumen. whoooooo
