Well what was he going to say
“I over-think big fights and I am likely never going to win ‘the big one?’”
"I am a man who pisses largely and frequently, which they say is a sign of great mental activity" -Henry Miller-
If he said at least the first part then I would a have respect for him. The fact is he didn’t just get outwrestled, Kenny fought like crap where was the jab where was him mixing his strikes and using great movement?. Where was the guy who dominated Guida?, this lost version of Kenny has only ever shown up once before and that was against BJ. So yeah Dana is right for whatever reason Kenny just overthinks things in these big fights he needs to work on that before it’s too late.

To me it seemed like he wasn't aggressive because he feared the takedown.

exactly
It was less “over-thinking” or “choking” more fear of the takedown. Hindsight is 20/20 and I’m sure we all knwo he would have done better guns blazing. But coming into the fight he probably thought he could stuff the takedown if he was careful enough.
