Even Fox News Ruins Christmas
I dunno how happy Dana White will be with this appearance by Jacob Volkmann. Volkmann talks about pay, amount of fights and his chiropractor business. I mean not to get into politics, but he didn't give one reason why he doesn't like "Obamacare" (which if you use that term, you're stupid) other than he has to "make calls" and "fill out paperwork".
Brock Lesnar's Beard Has Become Sentient, New Video
This is a video of Brock Lesnar apparently promoting his upcoming biography. Man, so many things to say. First of all, hearing him say "Brock Lesnar, UFC Fighter" is weird after two years of hearing him announced as champion. Secondly, that beard, oh that fucking beard. Wow, that thing is ridiculous. And look at that scar. He's got to see that every time he looks in the mirror. If Brock is half the competitor I think he is, that motivates him. He looks to be his old gruff self and personally, I hope he goes back to pre-illness Brock Lesnar myself.
Wanderlei Silva "I Trained With [Sonnen] One Time At Couture and I Kill Him There"
Yeah, I know I'm being worked and they are just building up the fight. And yes, I'm quite aware that Joe Rogan is going to come out and say "Oh the talk was just to build up the fight" and totally ruin the moment. That said, Sonnen and Wandy have been subtlety building up their obvious confrontation as soon as Sonnen gets through with his steroid suspension. Trading barbs over Twitter; there was that infamous car video. It's been a nice little build and they aren't going overboard with it. Even though we know the outcome probably isn't in doubt, I still want to see this fight (mostly because I love seeing Wand fight). I almost guarantee this fight takes place on foreign soil.
That said, this is a good video and Wand always makes for
Sean McCorkle is an *** Hole but it doesn't bother Stefan Struve
In the run up to UFC 124 Sean McCorkle has been doing his best Chael Sonnen impersonation going after Stefan Struve on twitter with comments like: "The only thing Stefan Struve has ever finished in his whole life is ‘another guy off'", "Stefan Struve likes black guys. Just sayin(g)" and "There's no way a dirty communist like Struve beats an American patriot like me. Freedom always wins, Struve. And these colors don't run!"
Apparently McCorkle believes that despicable homophobia wrapped in weird patriotism (the Netherlands isn't a communist ... but China is and we KNOW how much the UFC loves China! McCorkle, why do you hate America!?) is the best way to earn attention from UFC fans.
But the trash talk doesn't bother Stefan "The Boy Who Lived" Struve (Come on guys! That's a thunderbolt scar just like Harry Potter...) who spoke to SBN about it.
"They're not really annoying. I don't pay much attention to it. I've never had a guy trash talk so much before a fight. It's funny, but some of them are kinda 'you know.' I'm 22 and he's like 34 or 35? Maybe even older. (ed. note - he's 37) It should be the other way around. Come on, grow up man. I'm getting a little annoyed but I'll talk to him next week. I don't like him and I'll do my talking with him next week in the octagon. I promise the people in Montreal one hell of a fight."

Dana White 'Fans Stop Whining About UFC 112, You've Been Paid Back'
Dana White, 8 months ago:
"This was a historic event for us. The arena tonight was incredible. The energy was amazing, and to end it the way that we did was an embarrassment for me, the Fertittas, the UFC and the sport in general. I apologize, and I will - I don't know how yet - but I will make this up to the fans who bought this sh*t tonight. I'd rather have somebody say, 'Let's not buy the Anderson Silva fight tonight because he knocks people out in two minutes,' rather than, 'He runs around like a jackass for five rounds. Anderson Silva might be the first champion in history fighting on a prelim. How do you sell Anderson Silva after tonight? How do you do it? People don't want to see that sh*t. I don't want to see it. It makes me sick to my stomach. I'm going to make it up to the fans - that I guarantee you, I just don't know how yet."
Dana White, 6 months ago
"I'll get on my Twitter every once in a while and people will be like, 'Hey, when are you making it up to us?'" White told MMAjunkie.com. "Give me some [expletive] time. I will. I've got to find the right time and the right opportunity."
Many fans have suggested White take a big fight that would normally fall to a pay-per-view event and instead put it on basic cable with either of the UFC's broadcast partners, Spike TV or Versus.
White seemed warm to the idea, though he refused to commit to the deal.
"Maybe it is taking a fight and putting it on free TV," White suggested.
Dana White, a week ago
Dana White's idea of "paying back the fans" is...doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Hilarious. Don't say some dumb shit like "I will pay back the fans" and then not follow through and respond with some hackneyed answer like "I put free fights on TV." No shit Dana White. You put free fights on TV. That's how you paid us back. You're like that friend you let borrow some money and he's all "I got you, bro, I got you." And then two weeks later he's still "Bro, I got you man, lemme move some things around". Then he disappears for a little bit and comes back around acting like he already paid you back. Surprised that Ariel even ASKED the question, then again, it did take 6 or 7 months.
Oh, and I know the Tighty-Whiteys (and I'm so claiming ownership of that) that read this will eviscerate me in the comments for this, but what the hell was up with the Dana lip-biting/head-shaking at the beginning of the video. Legit LOL for 2 minutes.
First Cain, Now Mike Swick, Is ANYBODY At AKA Thinking That Josh Koscheck Can Beat GSP At UFC 124?
Mike Swick was interviewed by Tatame and recently had this to say about the upcoming fight between his teammate Josh Koscheck and GSP.
Your training partner, Josh Koscheck, is fighting or the welterweight title against Georges St. Pierre. What do you expect from this fight?
He’s been training or really hard and really long, he’s been in shape for like months. There’s no doubt that he’s gonna be in the best shape of his life. It’s up to him how he comes out , I think it can be an incredible fight and he can be a champ. The thing with GSP is if you make a mistake or don’t make a perfect fight he wins. It’s a very, very tough test.
Now, Swick didn't totally disregard Koscheck's chances like Cain did.
"[GSP is] one of the best out there. His style of fighting is strong and I think he is going to be the champion for a long time," Velasquez told the hosts of CP24 Breakfast. "But guys are always coming after him."
but he didn't actually say Josh would win. Everytime a fighter's teammate is interviewed, they almost always say "My guy is going to win." If you remember the Countdown for UFC 121 and the Primetimes, they were adamant that Cain would win. What has changed?
Did Antonio Silva Put His "Bigfoot" in His Mouth, Says Brock Lesnar Should Return to WWE
From Tatame:
Man, I think he must return to his fake fights that it’ll be best for him. I’ve always said that, he’s not a better fighter than Fedor, or Minotauro, or Cigano… He’s not the number one. I’ve said that when Werdum beat Fedor, who would become the number one? To me, it must have been Wedum because he had just beat the number one, but no. they put Brock Lesnar as the first, Werdum on the second place and Fedor in third. For sure now the top position is on good hands because Cain is a great fighter, he’s complete, has proven to have a good ground game, a good Wrestling and h’s a good exchanger. Now it’s on good hands. It was ridiculous for us, fighters, to see Brock Lesnar with only four or five bouts being considered the top athlete on earth, it’s ridiculoius. And people like Cain Velasquez, Cigado, Fedor and Minotauro coming after Brock Lesnar… He’s a fake fighter.
First of all, the absurdity of the idea that if you're not better than Fedor or Big Nog or JDS, you should become a fake fighter. Because you're not the best fighter in the world, he should return to wrestling? How stupid is this? Secondly, you say the number one position is in "good hands" because Cain beat Brock, the "fake fighter"? Ass-backwards logic Silva.
