Jacob Volkmann Gets KO'd By Barack Obama Last Night On Jay Leno
Jay Leno makes fun of Jacob Volkmann's idiot statements to Ariel Hwlwani that he wanted to take on Obama.
Jacob Volkmann's Idiotic Statements Get Him a Visit From Secret Service
The Secret Service showed up at both his residence and during his youth wrestling camp to interview him about the potential threat made to the President.
MMAWeekly.com confirmed with training partner Nick Thompson, who spoke directly to Volkmann, that the Secret Service agents showed up and interviewed him regarding his remarks about President Obama following UFC 125.
The interview was a formal process due to any potential threat made against the President, and Wednesday's investigation should be close of the matter.
Volkmann was successful in his fight at UFC 125, and almost mentioned a possible future fight against Clay Guida. It appears that one is much more likely than the Obama confrontation.
Now this is funny. Can't say I feel sympathy for the guy.
A Look Into the Chael Sonnen Money Laundering Case
As was reported here yesterday, Chael Sonnen pleaded guilty in federal court to money laundering.

Sonnen's attorney on the case is Ronald H. Hoevet based out of Portland, Oregon. He is not the attorney who represented Sonnen in his appeal before the CSAC.
If you recall, Sonnen pulled out of his Oregon House of Representatives race back on June 16th and said:
In the best interests of my district, I am resigning from my campaign for the Oregon House of Representatives. A 2006 legal issue has arisen that needs my immediate attention. I am not at liberty to disclose the details, but my name was involved in a real estate case that requires a ruling. If the ruling is adverse, I would be disqualified from running for office until 2011. So, given that possibility, I have chosen to withdraw my name as a candidate in 2010. I will continue to contribute to my community and ensure that we have a capable candidate to run for my district in November."

**Breaking News: Chael Sonnen Admits To Money Laundering**
You've gotta be f*cking kidding me. Remember when Chael was talking mess about the federal government looking into him well now we know why.
Chael Sonnen, 33, of West Linn, Ore., entered the plea Monday in U.S. District Court in Portland. He will be sentenced March 28. The maximum sentence is 20 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
According to a news release, Sonnen acted as the real estate agent in a transaction involving a home in Portland, and submitted a false letter and sales agreement instructing the title company to disburse $69,000 to a contractor for plumbing repairs. However, in a deal arranged by Lighthouse employees, $65,000 of the money was actually kicked back to the buyer.
More as this develops...

It's Gonna Be a Hot Summer, The UFC Returns To Brazil
At a press conference earlier today in Brazil, UFC President Dana White announced that the UFC will be making their long-awaited return to Brazil with an event August 2011 called UFC: Rio. The UFC has not had an event in Brazil since...a long time ago. With many of the organization's top fighters hailing from Brazil, there should be a lot of interest from the population.
With Anderson fighting in February, he should be ready to go again in August. Shogun is scheduled to fight in March of 2010, but I don't think they would use the LHW (one of the better drawing titles) on this card. The gate from this show won't be as great, but it will sell out (hopefully) regardless of who is on top, so some of your bigger stars won't be on this one. Hopefully, the ticket prices aren't outrageous.
What Dana White SHOULD be doing is taking this trip to Brazil to recruit some big booty Brazilian women and get rid of Arianny. I just happen to have a few suggestions after the jump.

UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture Retires?
It certainly looks this way, and doesn't come as a surprise with his recent comments about not wanting to make a run at a title, and increased activity in Hollywood. Randy Couture is set to work on a Bruce Willis film, and jump into the Expendables 2 next year...for an aging former champion, his horizons are bright, and far beyond the octagon. Let's get Randy on a mic as the third man in the booth for some UFC shows again, his analysis is a pleasure, and would be a welcome addition to the broadcast.
It's been a hell of a career for Randy, it's nice to see a legend go out on a high note.
